First Post

Welcome to my blog. I am a wife, mom, grandma and a "hooker". I finally decided to take the plunge and start a blog.
I took my first hooking class in October 2007 and became hooked! Today I'll share a few of the rugs I've hooked.
This is the first rug I hooked while taking a class with Sally Van Nuys of Amherst Antiques and Folk Art.

 Warren Kimble Pineapple Rug

Small hooked mat. I just love the colors.

Magdelena Briner rug from a class I took at the Aults in Shelby Ohio with Barbara Carroll in Feb 2009.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog. Until next time.
Melissa

A warm and hearty welcome to the world of blogging!! You have hooked some amazing pieces in the very short time you've been "hooked"! ;o) I'm a hooker too - but sporadic....haven't hooked in a while and it's looking like it might be a bit before I get back to it. Wishing you joy on your journey here - it has been such a wonderful pleasure for me....Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin

Hi Melissa! Glad you're finally blogging! I think you're going to enjoy it and all the people you'll "meet"!

Do you go to the Porter Library or That'll Do Farm for rug hooking with Lauren? Maybe Stacy and I will see you there...
